INTERAMERICAN is actively looking to employ a promising Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team.

The successful candidate will will play a critical role in managing and improving our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting function.
• Advises and guides other corporate functions on business-related matters and ensures the implementation of changes when legal and tax requirements are updated.
• Manages the SAP ERP system (FI, CO, RE-FX, MM) by following and applying legal regulations and internal procedures.
• Prepares and submits monthly financial reports to management following shareholder guidelines, as well as annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Conducts accounting audits by preparing and proposing policies and procedures. Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and enhance internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA certification is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
• A first-degree professional license from the Economic Chamber is required
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of Solvency II accounting is highly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably in SAP, and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
