MINETTA Insurance, one of the oldest companies in the Greek Insurance Market with a 50-year history in the field of private insurance organizations, is seeking to fill the position of Data Analytics Engineer. The position will report to the Chief Technology Officer of the Company. In this role, the successful candidate will build robust data models, maintain ETL pipelines, and develop impactful dashboards and reporting systems. She/he, will work at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage dynamic dashboards and ad hoc reports using enterprise BI platforms (QlikView preferred).
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL process to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Build and maintain data models (e.g., dimensional/star schemas) for efficient query performance and visualization.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and accounting teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure BI alignment with data governance practices, including consistent use of the Business Glossary and Semantic Layer.
- Monitor performance of BI and analytics solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for BI tools, processes, and workflows.
- Continuously identify and propose improvements to existing BI processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements specific to the insurance industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, and Statistics. MSc in a related field is highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI or data engineering roles. Experience working in regulated environments, preferably within insurance or finance, is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with ΒΙ Tools (QlikView preferred, or Tableau/Power BI).
- Strong proficiency with SQL (T-SQL) and experience working with SQL Server or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of ETL frameworks, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with a programing language (e.g. Python, R) would be a plus.
