About The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven professional to join our Pricing & Analytics team. The role will support pricing strategy, portfolio monitoring, claims analysis, demand modelling, and the development of analytical tools to enable data-driven insurance decisions.
Major Accountabilities
- Analyze policy, premium, claims, and exposure data to support pricing decisions.
- Support pricing reviews across Motor and other P&C products.
- Develop monitoring dashboards for key metrics, including frequency, severity, burning cost, loss ratio, conversion, and rate impact.
- Assist in GLM and machine learning model development and validation.
- Perform actual vs. expected analysis to identify portfolio segments requiring pricing actions.
- Support testing and implementation of pricing changes.
- Collaborate with underwriting, reserving, product, IT, and finance teams.
- Automate recurring pricing reports and enhance data quality controls.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, pricing, business intelligence, actuarial analysis, or other quantitative roles.
- Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of SQL, with the ability to extract and analyze data.
- Proficiency in either Python or R.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and modelling capabilities.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset with a willingness to learn insurance pricing concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of GLMs, logistic regression, Poisson/Gamma/Tweedie models.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Shiny, Streamlit, Git, or cloud data platforms.
- Prior experience in insurance, banking, consulting, or analytics will be considered as an asset.
